The Best Family Accommodation In Uluwatu, Bali
On your upcoming trip to Bali, you absolutely should consider taking the family to Uluwatu on the southern Bukit Peninsula (also home to Jimbaran and Nusa Dua). When it comes to traveling with kids in Bali, it can be hard to find the right accommodation, especially when it comes to choosing between a resort experience or renting a property through Airbnb. There are, of course, pros and cons to both experiences and the decision depends on the type of holiday experience you’re looking for.
Here, I’ve put together my favorite resorts and rentals available in Uluwatu. All of the stays I have listed are great for families and there’s something here for every budget. Read until the end for additional tips on traveling with kids in Bali!
Best Resorts in Uluwatu for Families
Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort and Spa
The first resort on my list for stays in Uluwatu is the Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort and Spa. This stunning resort is located further inland, it’s about a 10 minute drive to the beach, but is full of incredible amenities and adventures. One of my favorite things about this resort is that it shows that Uluwatu is much more than just a beach town.
The Renaissance of course has a beautiful pool, fitness center, full spa, delicious dining, and a breakfast buffet. It also has one of the best kids clubs in Uluwatu as well as a children’s pool, buffet and menu in addition to babysitting services. It’s pretty much guaranteed your kids will have fun at this resort!
Throughout your stay at the Renaissance Resort and Spa you will not only be relaxed and rejuvenated, but you will feel like you are a part of the local community in Uluwatu. The journey from the resort to the beach is breathtaking in itself and will show you the many other experiences and adventures you and your family can enjoy in Uluwatu. The winding streets that take you down to the infamous beaches are lined with local restaurants, cafes and shops that are definitely worth a stop!

Six Senses Uluwatu
Located on the southern tip of the peninsula, Six Senses is an outstanding resort that has truly thought of everything and provides a special Balinese experience for you and your family. This cliffside resort has thought of everything you could possibly want to experience and gone out of their way to provide it. From workshops including cooking classes and surfing lessons, to intimate performances featuring Balinese cultural pieces and tours of organic gardens, you and your family will have every day packed full of memorable adventures.
Six Senses does have a full spa, fitness center, and kids club, as well as exceptional dining services in six different restaurants. Your kids will also love the cinema under the stars where movies are projected every night. Make sure you also check out their excursions to learn more about Balinese culture, including their exploration of Bali’s Underwater World.
Check out their Family Indulgence package to have the ultimate family experience while staying at Six Senses. You will be able to enjoy a penthouse with a private pool overlooking the ocean as well as all childcare services, a couples massage, and several private workshops and activities.
Karma Kandara
Karma Kandara is one of the most beautiful cliff side resorts located above the beach in Uluwatu. Each accommodation at this beautiful resort is a breathtaking villa with a private infinity pool. It doesn’t get much more luxurious than that!
Karma Kandara also offers a day care for kids ages 4-11 called the 3 Monkeys Kids Club. Here your kids will get to experience fun activities such as kite making and beach combing, making their own special memories of Bali. There are also plenty of activities for the entire family, from yoga on the beach during sunset or morning visits to the local fish market, to Balinese cooking classes and movie nights on the beach. Whatever you are hoping to experience while in Bali, Karma Kandara has it covered!
As this resort is located above Uluwatu, you will have to take a car to explore the rest of this beach town, though it’s only a short drive from the beach!
The Best Airbnb Stays for Families in Uluwatu
Captain Jack’s Bingin Beach House
While you will have an incredible and luxurious experience staying at any of the beautiful resorts in Uluwatu, the rentals available in this beach town offer both relaxing and unique experiences. The first Airbnb on my list is Captain Jack’s Bingin Beach House located directly on Bingin Beach. You are also only feet from the sandy beach and may not want to leave this property at all throughout your stay.
Captain Jack’s Bungalow can sleep six, has three air conditioned rooms, three and a half bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and outstanding views. The open floor plan allows you and the kids to have your own “hang-out” spaces but still be together as a family while enjoying the sunset views over the Bingin Beach. The property just went through a renovation as well, leaving you with the most up to date features throughout the bungalow, ensuring and easy and smooth vacation.
The hosts have gone out of their way to ensure your comfort and satisfaction, providing a pancake breakfast services as well as housekeeping services throughout your stay. Make sure you and the family take turns relaxing in the oceanview hammock on their wrap around deck!
Spectacular Ocean View Villa
If you are looking for a luxury experience in a stay that feels like a five star resort, then you absolutely need to check out the Spectacular Ocean View Villa in Uluwatu, Bali. This stay is perched on a cliff overlooking the many beaches below and is surrounded by many restaurants and shops within walking distance.
This villa can sleep seven, has four bedrooms and four bathrooms, as well as a cliffside pool, fully stocked kitchen, and a garden lounge area. This stay would be perfect for a larger family or possibly two families traveling together. I can promise, your kids will not want to get out of this pool!
The property actually has private access to Uluwatu beach, which is just a five minute walk away. The hosts also provide a fully stocked bar, an included breakfast, and are loved for being so attentive and welcoming to all of their guests.
Serene Private Pool Villa in the Heart of Uluwatu
One of the most modern stays in Uluwatu is the Serene Private Pool Villa. This property has everything you and your family could desire, and is actually set up to be a home away from home for anyone who is looking to work remotely. So if you need to pick up the phone for a business call halfway through your vacation and need very strong Wi-Fi this may just be the stay for you.
However, this stay has much more to offer than strong Wi-Fi. This villa has a beautiful private pool, is surrounded by the Balinese jungle, and can sleep four guests with their two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Throughout your stay you will have access to the fully equipped kitchen. You are also just a ten minute walk to Padang-Padang and Thomas Beaches!
This beautiful stay will definitely make it easy for you and your kids settle into your home away from home. The hosts also offer hotel pick up and drop off, as well as a scooter rental for your stay, making your time at the Serene Private Pool Villa even more enjoyable.
Laksimi Villa Green Padang Padang
My final property to recommend in Uluwatu is Laksimi Villa Green Padang Padang. Located just off of Padang Padang Beach, you will be just a short stroll away from the sandy beaches throughout your stay. This property is perfect if you are looking for a more traditional Balinese home, with an open floor plan in this tropical villa.
Throughout your stay, you and your family will be able to enjoy the private pool, fully equipped and enclosed kitchen, as well as beautiful tropical gardens. This stay can sleep five with two bedrooms and two bathrooms and has plenty of communal space for everyone to relax in. The hosts also provide daily housekeeping services, a private driver for both airport pickup/drop off and exploring Uluwatu throughout your stay.
I really love the location of this property. You’ll be just a short walk away from the beach and surrounded by amazing local restaurants, cafes, shops, and yoga studios. You’ll have plenty to do in this area and may not even want to leave!
